The village and calas (small beaches) of Begur at the Baix Empordá (from the Catalan, down Ampordá) is one of the most astounding landscapes at northern part of the Costa Brava, in the province of Gerona. Placed on a pine mountain, 5 minutes walking from the village center, this sunny villa was fully rebuilt 9 years ago and it gathers flavours from Provence, Alscana and Catalonian roots. From the terraces and main rooms at the house there are excellent views over the village of Begur and its castle; Pals and Roses Bay, Medas Islands (natural protected reserve), Montgrí mountain and, far away, the Pyrenees

The house is placed at the same height of Begur Castle, 200 meters over sea level, and the always changing colors of the Mediterranean can be seen from most areas of the house, incluiding the suite and the living room, 2 terraces and the garden. The pine and holm oaks surrounding the property, the clean blue sky and the omnipresent Mediterranean create a very relaxed and sensual atmosphere.
The house is built with an L shape, what allows for Sea views from most of the rooms with a astounding 180º angle view over the Mediterranean and the Medas Islands.
The orientation is North-East to take most advantage of daylight from dawn (quite an spectacle to see the sun rising above the sea from the up-floor terrace at dawn) to sunset.

The space distribution inside the house is quite functional. On the upper floor there is a large living room with a chimney. This living room is the first room you enter from the main door of the house; At the living room there are two doors; one of them leading al the Main Suite and the other al a corridor where three bedrooms (two double bed and one single) are situated, and two bathrooms. Living room and main suite have access to a outdoor terrace.
A wide stairway from the living room on the upper floor leads to a living room on the down- floor where there is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room with capacity for 12 people. There is another double bedroom with bathroom on the down floor and a porched terrace, ideal for summer diners.
All bedrooms are equipped with build in wardrobes and furniture and curtains are high quality, singular pieces, several antiques, carefully selected by the property owners over the years.
One independent room the garden, beside the kitchen, houses the central heating gas-oil machine, laundry machine and gardening tools.
